ESSAY:

This is a chance to synthesize your knowledge of film, doing a more serious study of a particular film, genre, filmmaker, topic, detail of film history or film culture.  With the approval of the instructor, almost any topic might be considered, provided it gives you a chance to bring together detailed observation and analysis, and/or additional research.  A list of suggestions will be provided during the semester.

Naturally, the essay must be written according to proper academic standards of formatting and be consistent, either in MLA or Chicago style.

Plagiarism will be considered a very serious offence.  If you have any questions about this, do not hesitate to consult your teacher.

CREATIVE PROJECT:

This would be a chance to do something different!  Ideas will be presented during the semester.
